few days ago i was discussing with [[http://www.wojek.net|wojek]] possible hardware (main CPU board) for [[:prjs:tiger:TIGER]] robot that i started to develop, after some brake, again. he told me about an interesting solution i might want to use: [[http://www.mini-itx.com/store/?c=53|Zotac ION]] boards ([[http://www.purepc.pl/sprzet_pc/nowe_plyty_glowne_zotac_ion_z_intel_atom_n230_i_n330|more on Zotac ION]]). this is an mini-ATX motherboard, that can be bought with 1Gbps ethernet, USB host, SATA disk controllers, dual-core Atom CPU, up to 4GB RAM and, what is totally new here, [[wp>GeForce 9|GeForce 9400M]] on board, that along with [[http://developer.nvidia.com/object/cuda_3_1_downloads.html|CUDA]] can be used to accelerate video processing (for example grabbed via USB cam). nice thing...
