====== 2021-05-24 - flipped classroom ======

while listening to the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlMTWfkQqbY|artificial intelligence podcast with Daphne Koller]]((one of the key persons behind Cursera.)) yesterday i learned about the concept of [[https://www.teachhub.com/classroom-management/2020/02/what-is-a-flipped-classroom|flipped classroom]]. in a nutshell the idea is to inverse order to "classroom" and "homework" parts. i.e. instead of having a lecture on a topic and then get assigned a homework to show you understand it, you first get a "homework" (to learn about the topic, eg. by watching video from teacher) and then come to a classroom (to put acquired knowledge into practice and discuss issues). i find this approach very interesting.
