while listening to the artificial intelligence podcast with Daphne Koller¹⁾ yesterday i learned about the concept of flipped classroom. in a nutshell the idea is to inverse order to “classroom” and “homework” parts. i.e. instead of having a lecture on a topic and then get assigned a homework to show you understand it, you first get a “homework” (to learn about the topic, eg. by watching video from teacher) and then come to a classroom (to put acquired knowledge into practice and discuss issues). i find this approach very interesting.
