2021-01-01 - on trust in human intelligence

recently i play a lot with 3D printing (more about that coming soon… i hope ;)). to boost up my knowledge in the area i often listen to the meltzone podcast (FYI: available also on spotify and other platforms). btw: if you're into 3D printing i highly recommend it – guys have a great knowledge and load of experience in the area – i always learn sth new in the process. :)

anyway – recently i came across a great quote there, when a discussion came down to assuming if a user of a device can accidentally do sth “stupid”:

imagine an average… or actually a median citizen. now just realize that half of the ppl on the planet are dumber than that guy!
