here it is – i've just learned that the fastest super computer in the world is ARM-based! after nearly 15 years of sole dominance of Intel in the field, things start to change.

ARM has long ago dominated phone and tablet markets. for quite some time it was rumored that it will come to supercomputers market at some point, due to its superior performance-per-watt metric… and it now officially happened. according to top500's LINPACK benchmarks, Japanese Fugaku is nearly 3x as fast as 2nd most powerful computer in the world.
