as a father of 2 curious minds i nowadays spend a significant fraction of my awake-time showing them interesting science, technology and let them play with it. today i came across instructables on making toy-stenography in the kitchen, but not the usual lemon+fire. this time the invisible ink was baking soda mixed with water and to develop it we used turmeric mixed with IPA. to both paint and develop we used cotton swabs.
i was really surprised with both how well it hid on the paper and how clearly it developed afterwards. give it a shot – lots of fun and some quality time with kids at the same time! :)
